Why See a Neurologist

Your nervous system runs everything. It deserves a specialist.

Your brain, spine and nerves control how you move, think, feel, speak and remember. When something goes wrong there, it can touch every part of your life.

A neurologist is the doctor trained to find out why. At Careplace, that search starts with a proper conversation. We ask about your symptoms, your daily routine, your sleep, your stress and your family history. Then we look beyond the symptom in front of us, because headaches, numbness or poor memory often have more than one cause. You leave with a plan you understand, and a team you can come back to.

Scheduled consultations

Pick a date that works for you and meet the neurologist without the long wait.

Urgent call-outs

For patients who need a neurologist quickly, we bring the specialist in.

You explain what's been happening, in your own words and at your own pace. We ask the right questions to fill in the gaps.

  2. A careful examination

The neurologist checks things like your reflexes, strength, balance, coordination, vision and sensation.

We review any scans or reports you bring, and arrange further tests only when they'll truly help.

Booking Process

Three steps to your neurology appointment

Getting a slot with a brain and nerve specialist shouldn't be complicated. Here's all it takes.

  1. Make your booking payment

Send the booking fee to the hospital's bank account. Reach out by phone or WhatsApp and we'll share the account details with you.

    Booking fee: ₦45,000
  2. Get your time confirmed

Your Questions, Answered

Before you book a neurologist

Here's what patients and families usually ask us. Can't find your question? Give us a call.

What is the fee to see the neurologist?

Booking an appointment costs ₦45,000, paid into the hospital's account before your visit. Should you need any extra tests, we'll explain them and tell you their cost before going ahead.

How does the call-out service work?

Apart from scheduled consultations, we can call a neurologist in to attend to a patient who needs specialist attention urgently. If you're unsure whether your situation qualifies, phone us and we'll advise you.

When is a headache an emergency?

Get help immediately for a sudden, extremely severe headache (often described as "the worst ever"), a headache after a head injury, or one that comes with fever and a stiff neck, confusion, weakness, fits, or trouble speaking or seeing. Call us or come straight in. We're open 24/7.

Can I book on behalf of a family member?

Yes. Many of our bookings come from children, spouses or caregivers. Just tell us who the appointment is for, and try to come along with them so you can share what you've noticed.

Do I need to bring my scans or reports?

It really helps. Bring any CT or MRI scans, EEG results, discharge summaries and a list of the medicines you take. If you don't have any, that's fine too. The neurologist will advise on what's needed.

Does my HMO cover a neurology visit?

We accept HMOs, but specialist cover varies by plan. Send us your HMO name and plan details on WhatsApp, and we'll confirm what's covered before your visit.
